AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS TO
ACCOUNT Q -221, "ELECTRIC SERVICE" IN THE AaIOUNT
OF $1,100.00 AND TO ACCOUNT Q-222, "GAS SERVICE"
IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,600,00 AND THE TRANSFER OF
SAID SU1AS FROL4 ACCOUNT 0-11, "SALARIES" IN TIE
FIRE DEPARTT:NT BUDGET, ALL BEING PiITHIN TIT,
GENERAL FUND,
�;:1LREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since
the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to
appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for the
various functions of city government to meet such extraordinary conditions,
and
�SqE EAS, additional funds are needed by the South Bend Fire De-
partment for electric and gas service to assure the department's ability
to properly perform its functions,
BE IT ORDAINED BY TIE CO.1I0N COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
SECTION I That the Sum of x1,100,00 be transferred from Account
Q -11, "Salaries ", and transferred and appropriated to Account Q -221, "Elec-
tric Service ", both accounts being within the General Fund,
SECTION II That the Sum of $1,600.00 be transferred from Account
Q -11, "Salaries ", and transferred and appropriated to Account 0-222, "Gas
Service ", both accounts being within the General Fund.
SECTION III This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the
Hayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements of emergency ap-
propriations,
