SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING $24,800.00 FROM THE
MORRIS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER IMPROVEMENT FUND
(FUND NUMBER 416)
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
The Morris Performing Arts Center Improvement Fund (Fund No. 416) was established
for the purpose of renovating, remodeling, or otherwise improving the facilities at the Morris
Performing Arts Center. The Morris Performing Arts Center desires to make certain capital
improvements that will enhance its status as an efficient, updated, performing arts facility. These
proposed capital expenditures include $15,550.00 for Box Office Software and Computer
Equipment that will provide for prompt and accurate service to our patrons in light of our
expanding event calendar; $3,250.00 for an upgrade to our sound wiring system that will produce
a more user-friendly sound console; and an automatic floor scrubber for $6,000.00 that will
better maintain all scrubbable floor areas, as well as holding down the number of full-time
employees necessary for that function.
The Common Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City of South
Bend to appropriate the requested funds from the Morns Civic Improvement Fund (Fund No.
416) for the requested purchase of new and upgraded equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
