'.'HEREAS, certain extraord`_ilai ,,T conditions have developed
since the adoption of the existing aiz ual budget so zat it is now necessary
to appropriate more money than :-as appropriated in the annual budget for the
various functions of city goverrament to meet such extraordinary= conditions,
and,
1 -m-P EAS, additional funds are needed by the South Bend City
Engineer for the purpose of purchasing a new ve'iicle to -replace one which re-
quires extensive motor and trazsmissi.on over to to assure the department's
ability to p- operly perform its functions.

SECTION I. That the sure of 0,000.00 be transferred. from
Account L -11, "Services Personal ", and 'transferred and appropriated to Account
L -7221 "Ivtotor Equipment ", both accounts being within the General Fund.
SECTION 11. This ordinance shall be _.11 fo_ce and effect
from and after its passage by the Cou:on Cou eil, its approval by the 1;.ayor,
and the fulfillment of all statutory -regairements of e iergency- appropriations.
