AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA - 1962, SECTION 40 AS AMENDED AND
GENERAL ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AND THE ACCOMPANYING MAP
THERETO, GENERALLY KNOWN AS THE SOUTH BEND ZONING ORDINANCE
BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF THE USE DISTRICT FOR A
CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana, 1962,.and General
Ordinance No. 4990 -68 and the accompanying map or maps thereto, as amended,
are further amended insofar as the same relates to that certain parcel of
land situated in the City of South Bend, and known and designated ast
A part of the South West Quarter of Section No. 27, in Township
No. 38 North, Range 2 East, which part is described as follows, viz:
"Beginning at the North Hest corner of the South West Quarter of
Section No. 27, thence East along the East and West center line
of said Section, a distance of 660 feet; thence South parallel
with the West line of said Section a distance of 330 feet; thence
West 660 feet to a point on the West line of said Section, 330 feet
South of the place of beginning; thence North 330 feet to the place
of beginning, containing 5 acres, more or less."
by changing the classification of the "Use District" from "E" Heavy Industrial
District to "A" Residential District.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by
the Common Council, approval by the Mayor and legal publication.

Gentlemen:
The attached rezoning petition of Hartman Builders, Inc.
was legally advertised under date of March 8 and 15 and
given public hearing on March 18, 1969. The following
action was taken:
After due consideration it was moved, seconded,
and carried that the ordinance be recommended
favorably to the Common Council.
Attached hereto and made a part of this report is an excerpt
from the minutes of the meeting.
