Re: Ordinance for the City's 2001 Transfer & Appropriations
Dear President Pfeifer:
I attach for the consideration and approval of the South Bend Common Council the
ordinances that would appropriate and transfer the necessary funds to cover any deficits in any of
the major categories within the City's funds. In the appropriation ordinance, deficit categories
are either being balanced by increasing and decreasing the appropriation within the fund or if that
is not possible, the fund must use its cash balance to cover the deficit. In the transfer ordinance,
all deficits are covered by transferring balances from one category to another.
Please feel free to call me if you have any questions. Thank you for your favorable
consideration of these ordinances.
Sincerely,
~~ `` ~ ~
