Re: Appropriations Ordinance Palais Royale Ballroom at the Morris Performing Arts Center
Dear Ms. Pfeifer:
Attached for consideration by the Common Council is an ordinance appropriating private
donations totaling $1,832,930.87 for renovation and rehabilitation construction of the Palais
Royale Ballroom at the Morns Performing Arts Center. These funds were deposited into the
County Option Income Tax Fund (#404) for convenience and in anticipation of commencing
work on this important civic improvement. As you can see, the public has been generous with its
donations and we are anticipating more donations to reduce the use of tax dollars for this project.
I will be present at your Council session and meeting to answer any questions you may
have.
Sincerely,
Stephen J. Luecke, Mayor
