AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
APPROPRIATING $25,000 WITHIN THE COUNTY OPTION INCOME TAX FUND (FUND 404)
FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR THE COMMERCIAL
CORRIDOR PROGRAM WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND
Statement of Purpose and Intent:
In order to assure the efficient and timely utilization of County Option Income Tax
Funds and to further the implementation of the commercial corridor program within the City,
certain appropriations are necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana, as follows:
SECTION I. The sum of $25,000 is hereby appropriated within Fund 404 for the
calendar year 2002.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by
the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

The attached bill for your consideration and approval will appropriate $25,000 of County
Option Income Tax funds for use in the Commercial Corridor program on Lincolnway West.
The LWW corridor program has been successful in generating this $25,000 in income and
wishes to use the income for additional Commercial Corridor activities.
