An Ordinance Affecting approximately 90 acres more or less,
and generally described as located between Mayflower Road,
the Penn Central Railroad Tracks, and Linden Road.

An Ordinance Amending and Supplementjn
Ordinance 990 - Chapter 0 of Municipal Code
ormerly Zoning Ordinance 37U)_ AS AMFNnFP.
Be it enacted by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana that:
Section 1 - Ordinance 4990 - Chapter 40 of the Municipal
Code (formerly Zoning Ordinance 3702) of the City of South Bend,
Indiana be and the same is hereby amended, supplemented, and
changed, to provide that the following described real estate
located in the City of South Bend, Indiana, to -wit:
Beginning at a point on the northwest corner of the
east one -half (112) of Section 8, T37N, R2E, said
point being on the existing City Limits of the City
of South Bend, Indiana, and at the center of the
intersection of Mayflower Road and Fillmore Road;
thence north following the west line of the east
one -half (112) of Section 5, T37N, R2E, a distance
of 2165 feet more or less to the point of intersection
with the north right -of -way line of the New York
Central Railroad (Penn Central); thence southeasterly
following the north right -of -way line of the said
Railroad a distance of 4070 feet more or less to
a point of intersection with the west line of the
east one -half (112) of the southwest one - quarter
(1/4) of Section 4, T37N, R2E, said point being on
the City Limits of the City of South Bend, Indiana;
thence south and west following the City Limits a
distance of 5470 feet more or less to the point of
beginning. Excepting therefrom a tract of land
described as follows;
Beginning at the southeast corner of
Section 5, T37N, R2E; thence north along
the east line of said Section 5, 986.2
feet; thence west 1319.87 feet to the west
line of the southeast one - quarter (1/4) of
the southeast one - quarter (1/4) of the
said Section 5, said line being also the
east line of the recorded plat of Portage
Gardens, an addition recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of St. Joseph County,
Indiana; thence south along said east line
of Portage Gardens, 988.71 feet to the

be and the same hereby is zoned "A" Residential in its Use
District Regulation classification and "A" Height and Area in
its Height and Area District classification.
Section 2 - This Ordinance is to be in full force and
effect from and after its enactment, the approval of the Mayor,
