and East of Ironwood.
ORDINANCE NO. 5182-70
An Ordinance Amending and Supplementing
Ordinance 4990 - Chapter 40 of Municipal Code
(Formerly Zoning Ordinance 3702). AS AMMENDED
Be it enacted by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana that:
Section 1 - Ordinance 4990 - Chapter 40 of the Municipal
Code (formerly Zoning Ordinance 3702) of the City of South Bend,
Indiana be and the same is hereby amended, supplemented, and
changed, to provide that the following described real estate
located in the City of South Bend, Indiana, to -wit:
The south one -half (112) of the northwest
quarter (1/4) of Section Twenty (20), Township
Thirty -seven (37) North, Range Three (3) East,
being contiguous with the city limits of South
Bend on the south and west side, containing
Eighty (80) acres more or less.
be and the same hereby is zoned to "A" Residential in its Use
District Regulation classification and "A" height & Area in
its Height and Area District classification.
Section 2 - This Ordinance is to be in full force and
effect from and after its enactment, the approval of the Mayor,
and its publication according to law.

Extended East
The attached rezoning petition of recently annexed land
originated by the Area Plan Commission was legally advertised
under date of March 21 and March 28, 1970 and was given public
hearing on March 31, 1970. The following action was taken on
March 31, 1970.
After due consideration, it was moved, seconded and
unanimously carried that the ordinance be recommended
favorably to the Common Council.
The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points
considered in arriving at the above decision are shown in
the excerpts of the minutes attached hereto and mad a part
of this report.
