AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN
THE WATER WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA AND GATES CHEVROLET, INCORPORATED
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE PURCHASE
OF TWO (2) 1970 CHEVROLET VAN TRUCKS IN
THE AMOUNT OF $3,538.00.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:

RE: Van Trucks - Water Works
FROM: John L. Hunter, Director of Utilities

These two van trucks will be used by our Meter Department for
installation and removal of meters; stop box and repair work done
by this division. We are trading unit numbers 18, 1964 International
Truck and 14, 1964 Willy's Jeep. Both of these units are worn out.

These trucks were bid with the other City trucks and the low

bidder was Gates Chevrolet, Incorporated. Since they conformed
with the specifications, the Board of Water Works Commissioners

`approved and entered into the contract January 5, 1970.
