AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE
WATER WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
AND SOUTH BEND WINDOW CLEANING COMPANY, INCOR-
PORATED, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR JANITORIAL
SERVICES AT 224 NORTH MAIN STREET, SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA FROM APRIL 1, 1970 TO APRIL 1, 1971,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,868,00.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
SECTION I: That the contract entered into between the Water Works of
the City of South Bend, Indiana and South Bend Window Cleaning Com-
pany, Incorporated, South Bend, Indiana, on the 19th day of January
1970, pursuant to advertising and receipt of bids for janitorial
services from April 1, 1970 to April 1, 1971 in the amount of
$5,868.00 is hereby approved and confirmed.
SECTION II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and approval by the Mayor.

The Notice to Bidders was published in the South Bend Tribune and Tri-
County News on January 9 and 16, 1970. Bids were received on or before
January 19. The Board of Water Commissioners opened these bids on
January 19.

South Bend Window Cleaning Company, Inc. 489.00 5,868.00
Since South Bend Window Cleaning is the low bidder and conforms to the
specifications, the Board awarded the bid to this company and entered
into a contract on January 19, 1970.
