AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE WASTE-
WATER TREATMENT PLANT OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA AND GARNER'S PLUMBING & HEATING PIPING CON-
TRACTOR OF ARGOS, INDIANA, FOR A SEWER REPAIR AT
1141 CAMPEAU STREET, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $3,900,00,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
SECTION I: That the contract entered into between the Wastewater
Treatment Plant of the City of South Bend, Indiana and Garner's
Plumbing & Heating Piping Contractor of Argos, Indiana, on the 2nd
day of February 1970, pursuant to advertising and receipt of bids
as the repair is needed in the operation of said Treatment Plant,
in a total amount not to exceed the contract price of $3,900 is hereby
approved and confirmed.
SECTION II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and approval by the Mayor.

RE: Sewer Repair. at 1141 Campeau Street
FROM: John L. Hunter, Director of Utilities
There is a drag bucket stuck in this sewer and should be
removed as soon as possible. Due to the depth.of the sewer
our Sewer Division does not have the proper equipment to
handle this repair and removal.
This job was bid and Garner's Plumbing & Heating Piping
Contractor was the only bidder. Bids were advertised
properly and the Board of Water Commissioners approved
the contract on February 2, 1970.
