ORDINANCE NO. 5154 -70
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $583,510.00
FROM THE CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING
FUND.
WHEREAS, engineering studies have been completed
outlining certain storm water flood control projects, and
WHEREAS, funds are no
acquisition, design engineering
priority projects, and
needed for appraisals, land
and construction of said first
WHEREAS, a Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund
has been established.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I. That the sum of $583,510.00 be appropriated
from the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund for the
projects and in the amounts set forth below:
Project I - 1970
Washington & 36th Street Storm Water
Detention Basin (Lagoon K) $159,960.00
Project II - 1970
Ponsha & 33rd Street Storm Water
Detention Basin (Lagoon A) 113,350.00
Project III - 1970
Sampson & Randolph Street Storm Water
Detention Basin ( #3) 294,000.00
Project IV - 1970
Chippewa & Main Street Storm Water
Improvements 16,200.00
TOTAL: 583,510.00
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, its
approval by the Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory
requirements.
