HomeMy WebLinkAboutAdditional Appropriation in the Amount of $4,028.00 Police DepartmentORDINANCE No. 5152 -70 Passed by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, February 9, 1970 Presented by me to the Mayor of the City of South Bend, Approved and signed by February 11, 70 Clerk of Common Council J6 Clerk I DEAL PRESS ORDINANCE NO. 5152 -70 AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION TO ACCOUNT P -726, "OTHER EQUIPMENT" IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,028.00 AND THE TRANSFER OF SAID SMIfi FR02' ;1 ACCOUNT P -11, "SERVICES PERSONAL" IN TIE POLICE DEPARTMENT, ALL BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual. budget for the various functions of city government to meet such extraordinary conditions, and WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the South Bend Police Department to provide funds for acquiring a basic Video re- corder system for the police department and to assure that depart- ment's ability to properly perform its functions. NOVI, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COIv1MON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION I. That the sum of $4,028.00 be transferred from Account P -11, "Services Personal ", and transferred and appropriated to Account P -726, "Other Equipment ", both accounts being within the General Fund. SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for emergency appropriations. From the Geneve, —{vrtd to Account P -726 Other equipment In the 1970 Police Budget we had anticipated an expenditure of $1,500.00 to obtain a basic Video recorder system. Due to additional needs and uses of the equipoK-nt this was not sufficient. j On the date of 1112170 the bid submitted by the Ault Camera Shop was i accepted. This total was $5,527.76 for a complete system. The re- quested transfer is the difference needed to purchase the system, j I Respectfully, I ! Loren M.
