ORDINANCE NO. 5236 -70
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AS AMENDED,
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA (Chapter 40, Municipal Code), AS AMENDED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
Section 1:
Ordinance No. 4990 -68, as amended, which ordinance is
commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, be and the same hereby is amended in order that the zoning
classification of the following described real estate in the City
of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana:
LEGAL DESCRIPTION
A PART OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST
QUARTER OF SECTION 31, TOWNSHIP 38 NORTH, RANGE 3
EAST OF THE SECOND PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, MORE PARTIC-

Bend Avenue and Edison Road
The above petition was duly advertised on September
5th and 12th and a public hearing was held on September
15, 1970. The Area Plan Commission, at its regular
meeting on September 15, 1970, took the following action
on the subject ordinance:
After due deliberation, it was moved by Jerry
Miller, seconded by Lloyd Taylor, that this
petition for rezoning be recommended favorably
to the Common Council of the City of South Bend
subject to annexation by the city.
