AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE MUNICIPAL
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, GENERALLY DESCRIBED
AS LYING NORTH OF EDISON ROAD AND WEST OF ROSEMARY
LANE
Be it enacted by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana that:
Section 1 - The following described land, lying
adjacent to and forming a contiguous boundary with the present
City Limits of the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, more
particularly described as:
A part of the southeast 1/4 of Section 31, T38N, R3E,
St. Joseph County, Indiana, more particularly described
as follows: Starting at a point on the north line of
the south 1/2 of the southeast 1/4 of said Section 31;
thence 450.80 feet east of the northwest corner thereof;
thence south along the present city limits line a distance
of 659.36 feet to the point of beginning; thence west
18.30 feet; thence south a distance of 432 feet more or
less along the east line of "The Town of Schroederville"
Addition recorded, to a point of intersection with the
present city limits line; thence following the present
city limits line as follows: east 208.71 feet, south
155.41 feet, southwesterly 64.98 feet along a curve, south
48.50 feet to the centerline of Edison Road, east along
the centerline of Edison Road 1700 feet more or less,
north 212 feet, west 242.5 feet, north 448.0 feet more or
less, west 60.0 feet, north 662.0 feet more or less, west
279.0 feet more or less; thence southwesterly following
the present city limits along the easterly right -of -way
line of South Bend Avenue (Ind. #23) a distance of 725
feet more or less to a point 16.4 feet northeast (measured
along the easterly right -of -way line of South Bend Avenue)
of the northwest corner of Lot 9 in Pensinger's Subdivision;
thence northwesterly 210 feet; thence southwesterly 150
feet; southeasterly 130 feet, southwesterly 227.35 feet,
northwesterly 131.55 feet, southwesterly 108.30 feet, south
98.63 feet, west 208.50 feet, north 300.0 feet; thence west
165.56 feet to the point of beginning, containing 31 acres
more or less, all in Clay Township, St. Joseph County,
Indiana,
be, and the same hereby is, annexed as a part of the Municipal
City of South Bend, Indiana.
Section 2 - This Ordinance is to be in full force and
effect from and after its enactment, the approval of the Mayor,
and its publication according to law.

Dear Mrs. Gammon:
Enclosed is a copy of Judge Hosinski's order book
entry of May 9, 1980, dismissing the remonstrance
for the above annexation and a copy of the letter
dated July 31, 1980, overruling the remonstrators'
Motion to Correct Errors.
You have on record the order rezoning the subject
property.
Whatever steps are necessary for your office to
complete the documentation as to the tract of land
being annexed to the City of South Bend and rezoned
are to be promptly taken.
