AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUCICIPAL CODE OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA -1962 SECTION 40 AS
AMENDED AND GENERAL ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -682 AND
THE ACCOMPANYING MAP THERETO, GE14ERALLY KNOWN
AS THE SOUTH BEND ZONING ORDINANCE BY CHANGING
THE CLASSIFICATION OF THE USE DISTRICT FOR A
CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUiNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEAD, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1,
The municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana, 1962, and
General Ordinance No, 4990 -68 and the accompanying map or maps
thereto, as amended, are further amended insofar as the same re-
lates to that certain parcel of land situate in the City of South
Bend, and known and designated as:
A parcel of land in the Southwest 1/4 of Sec.25, Two, 37N,
R.2E., more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the inter-
section of the South Right -Of -Way line of Ireland Road and the West
Right -Of -Way line of U.S. 31 (Michigan Road), thence Southwesterly
along the West Right -Of -Way line of U.S. 311 287 feet, more or less,
thence West 165 feet, more or less, thence North 287 feet, more or less,
to the South Right -Of -Way line of Ireland Road, thence East along the
South Right -Of -Way line of Ireland Road 165feet , more or less, to the
place of beginning.
by changing the classification of the "Use District" from "Unzoned" to
"C -1" Commercial and from "No" Height and Area District to "A" Height
and Area District.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor and legal publication.
