ORDINANCE N0. 5208 -70
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE
WATER WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
AND MUELLER COMPANY, CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE,
FOR THE PURCHASE OF MECHANICAL JOINT GATE VALVES
IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $5,350.85.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
SECTION I: That the contract entered into between the City Water
Works of South Bend, Indiana, and the Mueller Company, Chattanooga,
Tennessee, on the 1st day of June 1970 pursuant to advertising and
receipt of bids, as the purchase of same is required in the operation
of said Water Works in a total quantity and a total cost of not to
exceed the quantity and cost itemized for each classification here-
after listed in the total amount of $5,350.85, is hereby approved and
confirmed:
4 16 inch Mechanical Joint Gate Valves $3,696.00
5 12 inch Mechanical Joint Gate Valves 1,013.25
4 10 inch Mechanical Joint Gate Valves 641.60
TOTAL $5,350.85
SECTION II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
