This Ordinance authorizes the South Bend Park Department to use the funds for their designated purpose of constructing and equipping the veterinary hospital at Potawatomi Zoo. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana as follows: Section I. The sum of $130,000 is ordered appropriated from and set aside within the Parks and Recreation Operating Fund #201 for the construction of the veterinary hospital in Potawatomi Zoo in account 201-1101-452.42-02. Section II. The sum of $45,000 is ordered appropriated from and set aside within the Parks and Recreation Non- reverting Capital Fund #405 for the equipping of the veterinary hospital in Potawatomi Zoo in account 405-1104-452.43-07. Section III. These funds have been provided through the gracious donation of the Zoological Society of St. Joseph Valley for this purpose and have been received into the respective funds. Both I and Dr. Jeremy Goodman, zoo veterinarian, will be available at the presentation to the Common Council to answer any questions. We ask your favorable consideration on this request.
