AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPRO-
PRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $ $19,000.00
FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO ACCOUNT
U -214, "TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH" IN
THE AMOUNT OF $7,000.00, TO ACCOUNT
U -252, "REPAIR OF EQUIPMENT" IN THE
AMOUNT OF $}& X6-88 AND TO ACCOUNT $8,000.00
U -324, "OTHER GARAGE AND MOTOR SUPPLIES"
IN THE AMOUNT OF $rj,69@ -6 &, ALL BEING $4,000 00
WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND, AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have
developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget
so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than
was appropriated in the annual budget for the various
functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary con-
ditions; and
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Munici-
pal Services Facility for telephone and telegraph, repair of
equipment and other garage and motor supplies and to assure
that department's ability to properly perform its functions;
and
WHEREAS, a surplus exists in the General Fund in
excess of $22,000.00,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council
of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That the sum of be appro- $19,000.00
priated from the General Fund for the accounts and in the
amounts set forth below:
Account U -214 "Telephone and Telegraph $ 7,000.00
Account U -252 "Repair of Equipment" 8B $8,000.00
Account U -324 "Other Garage and Motor
Equipment" - g8-gg $4,000 AO
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council,
its approval by the Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory
requirements for emergency appropriations. n p�

Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion the Ordinance go to the
Council favorable as amended as follows:
In the title the amount $22,000.00 be changed to $19,000.00.
To Acct. U- 252, "Repair of Equipment ", the amount be
changed from $10,000.00 to $8,000.00.
To Acct. U -324, "Other Garage & Motor Supplies ", the
amount be changed from $5,000.00 to $4,000.00.
In the body of the Ordinance Section I, the same amounts be changed
as above.
