AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF

$150,000.00 FROM THE CUMULATIVE SEWER
BUILDING AND SINKING FUND.

WHEREAS, engineering studies have been completed
outlining certain storm water flood control projects, and
WHEREAS, funds are now needed for appraisals, land
acquisition, design engineering and construction of said
project, and
WHEREAS, a Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking
Fund has been established,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council
of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That the sum of $150,000,00 be appropri-
ated from the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund for
the project and in the amount set forth below:
Project III -- Sampson and Randolph Street
Storm Water Detention Basin ( #3) $150,000.00
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council,
its approval by the Mayor and the fulfill men of all statutory
requirements.

Memo to: Members of the Common Council
Subject: Ordinance appropriating $150,000.00 to Clyde
Creek Water Detention Basin
In November, 1970, in order to expedite the construction of
Lagoon "K ", we requested the transfer by Resolution of $150,000
from the Sampson /Randolph Streets area (Clyde Creek) Project III
Fund to Lagoon "K" Project I Fund.
It was understood at that time that we would reimburse the
Sampson /Randolph Project with an appropriation from the Cumula-
tive Sewer Building and Sinking Fund. This Ordinance covers
that reimbursement.
