ORDINANCE NO. 5393 -72
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY
LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LAND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section 1.
That the following described property in St. Joseph County,
State of Indiana, being contiguous to the present City Limits, is
hereby annexed to and brought within the City of South Bend, Indiana:
A lot or parcel of land in the Southwest quarter of the
Southeast quarter of Section No. 31, Township No. 38 North,
Range No. 3 East, bounded by a line running as follows:
viz: Beginning at the intersection of the South line of
the North half of the Southwest quarter of the Southeast
quarter of said Section 31, with the Westerly line of
Indiana State Road #23 (also known as Edwardsburg Highway);
thence Northeasterly along the Westerly line of said Ind-
iana State Road #23, a distance of 150 feet; thence North-
westerly and perpendicular to said Westerly line of Indiana
State Road #23, a distance of 130 feet to a point; thence
Southwesterly and parallel with the Westerly line of Ind-
iana State Road #23, a distance of 150 feet to point; thence
southeasterly a distance of 130 feet to the place of be-
ginning.
Section 2.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publication.
