ORDINANCE NO. 5382 -72
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE
WATER WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
AND ASHLAND CHEMICAL COMPANY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA, FOR THE PURCHASE OF CHEMICALS FOR USE
FROM FEBRUARY 7, 1972 TO FEBRUARY 7, 1973, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $8,136.00. (AS AMENDED)
AMENDED AS FOLLOWS: IN TITLE OF
DELETE WORDS "FOR USE"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
SECTION I: That the contract entered into between the Water Works of
the City of South Bend, Indiana and Ashland Chemical Company, South Bend,
Indiana, on the 7th day of February 1972, pursuant to advertising and
receipt of bids as the purchase of same is required in the operation of
said Water Works, in a total quantity and a total cost not to exceed the
quantity and cost itemized for chemicals in the amount of $8,136.00, is
hereby approved and confirmed:

delivered in truckload lots of 10,
F.O.B. South Bend, Indiana; ordered as

delivered in single lots. F.O.B. Water
Works pumping stations; to be ordered
as needed. 1,620.00
TOTAL $8,136.00
SECTION II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
