AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION
IN THE AMOUNT OF $800.00 TO ACCOUNT Q -221,
"ELECTRIC CURRENT," AND THE TRANSFER OF SAME
FROM ACCOUNT Q -12, "DRIVERS AND SCUBA DIVERS,
RECALL AND HOLIDAY PAY" IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
BUDGET, ALL BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND.
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have devel-
oped since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it
is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated
in the annual budget for the various functions of City Government
to meet such extraordinary conditions; and
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the South Bend
Fire Department for electric current, and to assure that depart-
ment's ability to properly perform its functions; and
WHEREAS, a surplus exists in another account where it is
not presently needed and more specifically as follows; to -wit:
$800.00 in Account Q -12 "Drivers and Scuba Divers,
Recall and Holiday Pay ".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of
the City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I.
Account Q -12 "Drivers
and transferred and a
Current ", in the Fire
in the General Fund.
That the sum of $800.00 be transferred from
and Scuba Divers, Recall and Holiday Pay ",
ppropriated to Account Q -221, "Electric
Department Budget, both accounts being with-
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, its appro-
val by the Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements
for emergency appropriations. p
