It is now necessary to appropriate additional funds for operational and capital expenditures necessary for the City to effect provision of services to its citizens which were not anticipated at the time the City budget was adopted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: Section I. The following amounts are hereby appropriated in fiscal year 2013 and set apart within the following designated funds for expenditures as follows: Fund Amount Parks & Recreation Fund ( #201) $ 90,000 DCI Grant Fund ( #212) 16 Liability Ins. Jefferson Boulevard, 4th Floor South Bend, Indiana 46601 RE: 2013 Year -End Budget Appropriation Ordinance — Civil City Funds Dear President Dieter, During the past several years, it has been the practice of the City of South Bend to request department heads, fiscal staff and city administration to conduct an extensive review of the status of compliance with the adopted city budget and propose necessary adjustments during the middle of the year and at year end. Based on our year -end review, we are submitting the enclosed additional appropriation ordinance for your consideration. I will present this bill to the Common Council at the appropriate committee and council meetings. It is requested that this bill be filed for 1St reading on November 25, 2013 with 2 °d reading, public hearing and 3`d reading scheduled for December 9, 2013.
