AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION
IN THE AMOUNT OF $71,500.00 FROM THE CUMULATIVE
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND TO ACCOUNT 261, "OTHER
CONTRACTUAL SERVICES ", SAID ACCOUNT BEING WITHIN
THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND.
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed
since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now
necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the
annual budget for the various functions of City Government to meet
such extraordinary conditions; and
purposes:
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed for the following
1. To provide City's matching funds for Local Road and
Street Fund Projects:
a. R &S 41. Improvement of intersection
of Elwood & Portage Avenues. $ 7,006.50
b. R &S 42. Improvement of intersection
of Twyckenham Drive and Ewing
Avenue. 11,475.00
2. To provide funds for the purchase of
land in the Linden School area for
development of a park. 53,018.50
TOTAL $71,500.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of
the City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That the sum of $71,500.00 be appropriated
from the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund to Account 261, "Other
Contractual Services ", within the Cumulative Capital Improvement
Fund.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval
by the Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for
emergency appropriations.
