BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1
The municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana, 1962, and
General Ordinance No. 4990 -68 and the accompanying map or maps
thereto, as amended, are further amended insofar as the same relate
to that certain parcel of land situate in the City of South Bend,
and known and designated as:
Starting at the Southwest corner of the Northeast Quarter of Section
Twenty -Two (22), Township Thirty -eight (38) North, Range Two (2)
East; thence East along the East -West centerline of Section Twenty -
Two (22) Two Thousand Three Hundred Four and Ninety -Three Hundredths
(2304.93) feet to the East right -of -way line of Lilac Road; thence
North 00 °, 35' 30" West along the East right -of -way line of Lilac
Road Five Hundred Forty -One and Eleven Hundredths (541.11) feet;
thence South 890 44' 30" West Nine Hundred Eighty and Eighty -One
Hundredths (980.81) feet; thence North 00° 05' 06" West Five Hundred
Forty -One and Forty -Four Hundredths (541.44) feet; thence North
450 01' 23" West, Twenty -Eight and Thirty -One Hundredths (28.31)
feet; thence North 89° 57' 40" West, Five Hundred Forty -One and
Fifty Hundredths (541.50) feet; thence North 000 02' 00" West, One
Thousand Five Hundred Thirty -One and Two Hundredths (1531.02) feet
to the south right -of -way line of Brick Road; thence North 900 00'
00" West, along the South right -of -way line of Brick Road Seven
Hundred Fifty -Nine and Eighty- Hundredths (759.80) feet to a point
Twenty (20) feet South of the Northwest corner of the Northeast
Quarter of Section Twenty -Two (22), Township Thirty -Eight (38)
North, Range Two (2) East, thence South 001 00' 56" East, along the
North -South centerline of Section Twenty -Two (22) a distance of Two
Thousand Six Hundred Thirty -Nine and Twelve Hundredths (2639.12)
feet to the place of beginning, containing 72.36 acres more or less.
Subject to all legal highways.

to "A" Residential and from "No
Height and Area District.
SECTION 2
of the "Use District" from "Unzoned"
Height and Area District to "A"
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage by the Common Council,approval by thy- .Mayor and legal publication.

Proposed ordinance to zone recently annexed
property commonly known as the Lilac, Darden
and Brick Roads vicinity - 214 -71
The attached proposed ordinance originated by the Area
Plan Commission was legally advertised on August 7 and
August 14, 1971 and given public hearing on August 17, 1971,
at which time the following action was taken:
After consideration, it was moved, seconded
and unanimously carried that the ordinance be
recommended favorably to the Common Council
of the City of South Bend.
Excerpts from the minutes of the meeting of August 17
are attached and made a part of this report.
