AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11, ARTICLE I,
OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA, 1971.
1. SECTION I: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
2. SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
3. All of Chapter 11, Article I, except the number and
4. title thereof, is hereby deleted and the following is
5. inserted in place thereof:
6. (a) The 1970 Second Edition (including 1971 Supplement)
7, of the BOCA Basic Housing - Property Maintenance
8, Code, and as promulgated by the Building Officials
9, and Code Administrators International, Inc., at
10. least two (2) copies of which are on file with
11. the City Clerk and thereby made available for
12, public scrutiny, is hereby adopted as the official
13. housing and property maintenance code of the City of
14. South Bend, Indiana.
15. (b) The following shall be exception to the BOCA Basic
16. Housing - Property Maintenance Code:
17, (1) Section H -102.1 shall be deleted entirely without
substitution.
18. SECTION II:

and
effect from and

after its
passage,
approval
of
the
Mayor
and
legal publication.
