ORDINANCE NO. 5470 -72
AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION
IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,500.00 FROM THE MOTOR
VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND TO ACCOUNT MVH 64
"BENEFIT TRUST LIFE INSURANCE ", AN ACCOUNT
WITHIN THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed
since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now
necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual
budget for the various functions of City Government to meet such extra-
ordinary conditions; and
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Motor Vehicle
Highway Department for Account MVH -64 "Benefit Trust Life Insurance"
to assure that department's ability to properly perform its functions;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of
the City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That the sum of $5,500.00 be appropriated
from the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund to Account MVH -64 "Benefit Trust
Life Insurance" in the Motor Vehicle Highway Department.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval
by the Mayor, and the fullfillment of all statutory requirements for
emergency appropriations.
