ORDINANCE NO. 5555 -73
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2,
ADMINISTRATION, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City
of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. Article 1 of Chapter 2 of the Municipal
Code of the City South Bend, Indiana, is hereby amended to
read as follows, to -wit:
Section 2 -4: Regular Meetings of Common
Council; Calling of Council
to Order.
The regular meetings of the Common Council
shall be held at the Council Chambers on
the second and fourth Monday evenings of
each month at the hour of 7:00 P.M. If
any regular meeting date falls on a holiday
established by State law the Council, at
its election at the last preceding regular
meeting, may meet on the regular meeting
date.or the next succeeding night. The
regular meeting may be re- scheduled for
any date or time by majority vote of the
Council. At the hour named, the President
shall call the Common Council to order, and
if he is absent, the Vice - President shall
act in his stead. If the latter is absent,
any member of the Common Council may, upon
motion be called to the chair, and act as
presiding officer only until the arrival
of one entitled to preside.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and
its approval by the Mayor.
