That Zoning Ordinance no. 4990 -68 Chapter 40 of the Muni- cipal Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana, formerly known as Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, be and the same is hereby amended and supplemented by changing the zoning classification of the following described property from "A" Residence District to "C" Commercial District: Lot Numbered Seventeen (17) in Sommers Addition to the City of South Bend. The petition shall be accompanied by a filing fee of $10.- 2. In completing Section A' a. If your property is inside the city limits you will petition the COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND INDIANA to amend the zoning ordinance of said city. b. Sales and Service, Inc. to zone from "A" Residential, "A" Height and Area to "C" Com- mercial, property located at 413 N. Sommers St. Gentlemen: The attached rezoning petition of Hoffman Bros. Sales and Service, Inc. was legally advertised August 5, 1972 and August 12, 1972. The Area Plan Commission gave it a public hearing Augu§ t 15, 1972 at which time the following action was taken "Upon a motion made by Roger Parent, seconded by William Richardson and unanimously carried, the petition of Hoffman Brothers,Sales and Service, Inc. to zone from "A" Residential to "C" Commer- cial is returned to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation by the Area Plan Commission subject to "F" Height and Area." The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving at the above decision are shown in excerpts of the minutes and will be forwarded to you at a later date to be made a part of this report.
