Agenda: Discussion of Bills 45 -13, 46 -13, 53 -13, 54 -13
* *Due to recovery from a medical procedure performed earlier in the day the City Clerk was not present
to take minutes. However based upon votes requested at the 7:00 P.M. regular Council Meeting,
the discussions can be summarized as follows.
Bill # 44 -13
This bill sets the tax rate for 2014 at a rate felt necessary to meet city expenses. While on the agenda,
this bill had actually been passed unanimously on October 28, 2013.
Bill # 45 -13
This appropriation bill meant to defray the expenses of the non - utility departments of the City was
passed by a vote of 8 -1. Valerie Schey voted against the bill.
Bill # 53 -13
This bill fixed maximum salaries of an appointed officers and non - bargaining employees for 2014. This
controversial proposal was modified by the Council. The final pay schedule (attached) was passed by a
vote of 6 -3. Tim Scott, Karen White and Dr. Fred Ferlic voted against.
Bill # 54 -13
This bill fixed the maximum wages of Teamster employees for 2014. It was passed by a 9 -0 vote.

Office.
