ORDINANCE NO. 5698 -74
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF
$110,000.00 FROM THE CUMULATIVE SEWER
BUILDING AND SINKING FUND.
WHEREAS, engineering studies and plans have been
completed outlining needs for a sanitary sewer to serve an area
bounded on the north by Lincoln Way West, on the south by Edison
Road (Elwood Avenue), on the west by Pine Road and on the east
by the existing city limits, and
WHEREAS, funds are now needed for design engineering
and construction, and
WHEREAS, a Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking
Fund has been established.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council
of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That the sum of $110,000.00 be appro-
priated from the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund for
the construction of the Edison Road (Elwood Avenue) trunk sewer.
PHASE I
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, its
approval by the Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory
requirements.

(EDISON ROAD TRUNK SEWER —PHASE I).
Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion the Ordinance should be
recommended favorably to the Common Council, as amended:
The amount of $150,000.00 wherever mentioned shall
be amended to $110.000.00.
