AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE BUREAU OF
WATER OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND; (1.)
BADGER METER, INCORPORATED, OF MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN, AND
(2.) ROCKWELL INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION, OF PITTSBURGH,
PENNSYLVANIA, FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN WATER METERS IN
THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $91,229.00.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I. That the contract entered into between the Bureau of Water of
South Bend, Indiana, and; (l.) Badger Meter, Incorporated, of Milwaukee,
Wisconsin, and (2.) Rockwell International Corporation, of Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, on the 5th day of August, 1974 as the purchase of certain
water meters is required in the operation of said Bureau of Water in a
total quantity and a total cost not to exceed the quantity and cost item-
ized for each classification hereafter listed in the total amount of
$91,229.00, is hereby approved and confirmed:
(1.) Badger Meter, Incorporated
2,000 Badger 5/8" SC -FROM with plastic top
(Less Conns.) $ 78,880.00
(2.) Rockwell International Corporation
60 - Sealed Register Meters with Remote Reading- 3/4"
$ 2,973.00
40 - Sealed Register Meters with Remote Reading- 1"

20 - Sealed Register Meters with Remote Reading- 12"

SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption and approval by the Mayor.

THE BUREAU OF WATER IS PRESENTING AN ORDINANCE TO THE COMMON
COUNCIL WHICH WILL APPROVE TWO CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN METERS,
BIDS WERE LET PURSUANT TO THE STATUTES OF THE STATE OF INDIANA
AND WERE FOUND COMPETITIVE, THE CONTRACTS WERE AWARDED TO (1,) BADGER METER,
INC., OF MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN, AND (2,) ROCKWELL INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION, OF
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA, BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS ON THE 5TH DAY OF AUGUST,
1974, AS BEING THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDS, TOTAL NET AMOUNT OF THIS PURCHASE
