GAMMON Approved and signed by me 1, r& /—? igZ ORDINANCE NO. 5684 -74 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $23,495.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR VARIOUS PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAMS, TO BE ADMIN- ISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY. WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Department of Public Safety to administer certain Public Safety programs and to insure the Department's ability to properly perform its functions during the year of 1974: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend as follows: SECTION I. That the sum of $23,495.00 is hereby appropriated for the year of 1974 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appropriation is to be administered by the Department of Public Safety and will be administered as set forth below: Program FA60 "Animal Control" Account Description Amount Services 213.0 Travel $ 275.00 Contractual 260.0 Uniforms 1,250.00 Total Services Contractual 1,525.00 Supplies 370.0 Other Supplies $ 1,770.00 Total Supplies 1,770.00 Properties 722.0 Motor Equipment $16,200.00 Radio Equipment 4,000.00 Total Properties 20,200.00 Total FA60 $23,495.00 SECTION II. The Environmental Bureau must submit a written monthly report to the Council on the first of each month after the ordinance is in effect. The report must state the number of complaints received, the amount of dogs picked up and the disposal of the dogs, and any such information that the Council may request. SECTION III. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and�ter its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for emergency appropriations. Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion the Ordinance should go to the Council favorably, as amended below: The addition of the following section: SECTION III. NOTE: In the Council portion of the meeting, the ordinance was further amended to delete Office Equipment in the amount of $425.00 and amend the above section to read "Section II" with Section III being the usual paragraph pertaining to force and effect of the ordinance.
