AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE BUREAU OF
WATER OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND;
A. H. CHOITZ AND COMPANY, INCORPORATED, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN EQUIPMENT IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT
OF $14,562.00.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I. That the contract entered into between the Bureau of Water of
South Bend, Indiana, and ; A. H. Choitz and Company, Incorporated, South
Bend, Indiana, on the 7th day of October, 1974 as the purchase of certain
equipment is required in the operation of said Bureau of Water in a total
quantity and a total cost not to exceed the quantity and cost itemized for
each classification hereafter listed in the total amount of $14,562.00,
is hereby approved and confirmed:
A. H. CHOITZ AND COMPANY, INCORPORATED
(1) Diesel Wheel Loader Backhoe Machine
TOTAL AMOUNT $14,562.00
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption and approval by the Mayor.

SUBJECT: DIESEL WHEEL LOADER BACKHOE MACHINE
OCTOBER 9, 1974
THE BUREAU OF WATER IS PRESENTING AN ORDINANCE TO THE COMMON
COUNCIL WHICH WILL APPROVE A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN
EQUIPMENT. THIS EQUIPMENT BEING A DIESEL "!HEEL LOADER BACKHOE MACHINE.
BIDS WERE LET PURSUANT TO THE STATUTES OF THE STATE OF INDIANA
AND WERE FOUND COMPETITIVE. THE CONTRACT WAS AWARDED TO A. H. CHOITZ
AND COMPANY, INCORPORATED, BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS ON THE 7TH DAY
OF OCTOBER, 1974, AS BEING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID. TOTAL NET AMOUNT OF
THIS PURCHASE IS $14,562.00.
