ORDINANCE NO. 5764 -74
AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PARCEL OF LAND WITHIN THE CITY
LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section 1:
That the following described property in St.
Joseph County, State of Indiana, having been recently an-
nexed to the City of South Bend, Indiana, is hereby rezoned
from "A" Residential and "A" Height and Area District to "E"
Heavy Industrial District and "C" Height and Area District:
Section 2•
A part of the SW 1/4 Section 26 T37N, R2E Centre
Township St. Joseph County, Indiana, bounded on
the north by the north line of said SW 1/4; bounded
on the east by the east line of said SW 1/4; bounded
on the south by the north line of the South Bend
ByPass; and bounded on the west by the east line of
Penn Central Railroad. Contains 9 acres, more
or less.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal pub-
lication.

Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion the Ordinance should be
recommended favorably to the Common Council.
Note: In the Council portion of the meeting, the zoning
classification was amended from "M" Manufacturing and
"D" Height and Area, to "E" Heavy Industrial and "C"
Height and Area.
