CITY OF SOUTH BEND South Bend, Indiana 46601 Jerry J. Miller Mayor Rollin E. Farrand, Sr., P. E. Director. Public Works Members of the Common Council County -City Building South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: Reply To: Bureau of Design & Administration September 11, 1974 Sanitary sewers were installed on Edison Road and Oak Park Drive from Ironwood to about three blocks west of Ironwood. This installation is part of the overall plan to provide or offer to provide sewers to the residents of South Bend at approximately 50% of cost. This project is complete and many residents have already availed them- selves of the new service. We are now requesting the 50% City share of this project in the amount of $19,869.57. We would also like to point out that the Engineering and Barrett Law work for this project was done by the Department of Public Works and thus, the residents and the City were saved an estimated 20% of the construction cost. Your favorable consideration will be appreciated. Very truly yours, _//fJ/ Rollin E. Farrand, P.E. Director David A. Wells, P.E. - Manager Bureau of Design & Administration DAW /mkm
