ORDINANCE NO. 5742 -74
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $23,750.00
FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT FUND,
COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE
SHARING, FOR VARIOUS HUMAN RESOURCES
PROGRAMS, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS
DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES.
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Department
of Human Resources to administer certain Human Resources programs
and to insure the department's ability to properly perform its
functions during the year of 1974.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council
of the City of South Bend as follows:
SECTION I. That the sum of $23,750.00 is hereby
appropriated for the year of 1974 from the Federal Assistance
Grant Fund,.commonly known as the General Revenue Sharing Trust
Fund. This appropriation is to be administered by the Department
of Human Resources and will be distributed as set forth below:

SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from andnd a-fterits passage by the Common Council, approval
by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements
for emergency appropriations.

Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion the Ordinance should be
recommended favorably to the Common Council as amended below:
Reduce appropriation amount to $23,750.00.
