AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING FUNDS BETWEEN
VARIOUS ROAD AND STREET PROJECTS, ALL
PROJECTS BEING WITHIN THE LOCAL ROAD &
STREET FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA
WHEREAS, additional funds are required over those
previously appropriated to complete Construction Project R & S 52
Angela- Michigan intersection; and
WHEREAS, surplus funds exist in the following
projects; within the Local Road and Street Fund:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council
of the City of South Bend:
SECTION I. That the sum of $21,600.00 be transferred
from the above projects to R. and S. 52 Angela- Michigan Intersection,
all projects being within the Local Road and Street Fund.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, its
approval by the Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory
requirements.

RE: R & S 52 - Angela- Michigan Intersection
Gentlemen:
On August 12 an ordinance appropriating the sum of $2,400 from Account
No. 260.0 of the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund will be submitted
for your consideration. At the same time an ordinance transferring
balances from present Local Road and Street Accounts will be submitted
as follows:
TO: R & S 52 - Angela Boulevard and Michigan
Street Intersection $21,600.00
FROM: R & S 47 - Main and Chippewa $ 3,337.74
R & S 49 - Bendix Drive 1,070.74
R & S 51 - Sample- Mayflower Intersection 919.81
R & S 58 - Northside Boulevard 114.60
R & S 63 - Bendix Drive 16,157.21
TOTAL $21,600.00
The improvement at the intersection of Angela Boulevard and Michigan
Street consists of improved geometrics and re- signalization. Originally
you appropriated $90,000 for this construction work. Due to inflation
since the estimate was prepared one year ago, the low bid of Rieth -Riley

Construction Company was in the amount of $109,332.60. This, plus
approximately $4,000 in right -of -way costs, necessitates this additional
appropriation, bringing the total to $114,000.
