AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $172,000.00
FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT FUND TO ACCOUNT
NO. 260.1 "ARCHITECT AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
FEES AND EXPENSES", AN ACCOUNT WITHIN THE NEW
FEDERAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM F.A. 75 "CIVIC CENTER
CONSTRUCTION TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT
OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Department of Public Works
in order to fulfill its contractual obligations for the first quarter of
Calendar Year 1975; and
WHEREAS, these contractual obligations include architectural fees and
expenses for the design of the Civic Center, and construction management
fees and expenses for its building;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That the sum of $172,000.00 be, and hereby is, appro-
priated from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund to Account No. 260.1
"Architect and Construction Management Fees and Expenses ", an account
within the new Federal Assistance Program F.A. 75 "Civic Center Con-
struction" to be administered by the Department of Public Works of the
City of South Bend, Indiana.

Johnson /Burgee Architects $150,000.00
Sollitt Construction Company 22,000.00
TOTAL ACCOUNT 260.1 $172;000.00
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor,
and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for additional
appropriations.

Subject: Century Center Design Fees Appropriation
Gentlemen:
This ordinance is appropriating monies for the payment of architec-
tural engineering and construction management fees for the South
Bend Century Center during the first quarter of 1975. Actual pay-
ments will be based on progress payment requests submitted by the
architect and the construction manager as reviewed and recommended
by the Century Center Authority.
Your favorable consideration of this ordinance is recommended.
