ORDINANCE NO. 5,2 8 7-75-
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $100,000.00
TO ACCOUNT NO. 260.0 "OTHER CONTRACTUAL SERVICES"
IN THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROMENF FUND BUDGET FROM
THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL iwROVh%ENF FUND OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed
since the adoption of the existing annual budget of the Cumulative
Capital Improvement Fund Budget so that it is now necessary to
appropriate more money than was originally appropriated, in order
to insure the fund's ability to properly perform its functions, and
< WHEREAS, a surplus currently exists in the Cumulative
Capital Improvement Fund which may be appropriated for Account No.
260.0 "Other Contractual Services ";
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of
the City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That the sum of $100,000.00 be, and hereby is,
appropriat rom t e Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund to the
Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund Budget to be appropriated as set
forth below:
$100,000.00 in Account No. 260.0 "Other Contractual
Services"
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval
by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements.

There will be presented for your consideration on December 16, 1974 for
first reading an ordinance appropriating the sum of $100,000.00 to line
item 260.0 "Contractual Services" of the Cumulative Capital Improvement
Fund.
Through this action the City is providing a payment vehicle for the loan
received from the Department of Natural Resources for the rehabilitation
of the South Bend Dam.
It is felt that because CCIF will be used for the re- payment of this loan
over a 10 year period, to present the best audit trial the principle of
the loan should be appropriated to and disbursed from the same fund.
If further explanation is necessary I will be glad to speak with any of
you gentlemen.
