AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN TIC cap
CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section 1•
That the following described property in St. Joseph
County, State of Indiana, being contiguous to the present city
limits, is hereby annexed to and brought within the City of South
Bend, Indiana:
Part of Section 31, Township 37 North, Range 3 East,
Centre Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana, de-
scribed as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Northwest
Quarter of said Section 31; thence South 00 018135"
East along the North -South centerline of said Sec-
tion 31, 2672.34 feet to the point of beginning,
said point being also the center of said Section 31;
thence North 89 024'54" East along the North line of
the Southeast Quarter of said Section 31 (said North
line being also the South Bend City Limits), 240.00
feet; thence South 00 035'06" East, 123.09 feet;
thence South 16 018135" East, 342.11 feet, thence North
81 005'45" East, 57.88 feet; thence South 00 018'35"
East, 438.59 feet; thence South 89 041'25" West along
the South Bend City Limits, 191.04 feet; thence North
00 018'35" West along the South Bend City Limits, 17.01
feet; thence South 89 050106" West along the South Bend
City Limits, 201.08 feet to the North -South centerline
of said Section 31; thence North 00 118'35" West along
said North -South centerline (being also the South Bend
City Limits), 489.97 'feet; thence North 35 046'04" West
along the South Bend City Limits, 119.00 feet; thence
North 63047122" East along the South Bend City Limits,
132.58 feet; thence 226.03 feet Northwesterly along
the arc of a curve concave to the Northeast (said
curve being the South Bend City Limits) and having a
radius of 500.00 feet, a central angle of 25 054'03"
and a chord of 224.11 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 6.652 acres, more or less.
Section 2:
That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal
publication.
