ORDINANCE NO. 5 9 / /, - 75
AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $7,100.00 BETWEEN
VARIOUS ACCOUNTS IN THE BUREAU OF FIRE PROTECTIONS, ALL
ACCOUNTS BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND, CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since
the adoption of the existing budget for the Bureau of Fire Protection,
in the General Fund, so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money
than was appropiated in the original budget for the various functions of
City Government to meet such extraordinary conditions; and
WHEREAS, additional fundsare needed for various accounts within
the Bureau of Fire Protection, in the General Fund budget, to assure that
department's ability to properly perform its functions; and
WHEREAS, a surplus exists in various accounts of the Bureau of
Fire Protection, in the General Fund, which are not presently needed:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That the sum of $7,100.00 be transferred between
various accounts as set forth below:

We are requesting an ordinance to transfer $ 7,100.00 from
Q -11, Services Personal as follows:
Q -430 Repair Parts - $2,000.00 - to keep rigs in
operation for remainder of the year.
Q -221 Electric Current - $2,000.00 - to meet obliga-
tions for remainder of the year.
Q -540 Clothing Allowance - $3,100.00 - clothing for
new men. (Minimum cost of $600.00 each to start a
new man.)
