County - City Building 227 West Jefferson Boulevard South Bend, Indiana Dear Mr. Parent: The ordinance for the Department.of Public Parks, in the amount of $7,000.00,.is for funds to purchase.fencing around the two tennis courts-that will.be built at LaSalle Park and for an outfield.fence around the softball field at La Salle. It is my feeling that the tennis. courts are definitely needed at La Salle Park since this park is heavily used and the`.closest tennis courts are at Harrison. The estimated cost for-the tennis court fencing is .$5,000.00 and .$2,000.00 for the.softball field. As you are aware,.tennis is.one.of.the` fastest growing participant activities in the area and.the Park.Department is making an effort.to construct additional tennis courts throughout the city: Very truly yours, 'RTMENT -0F P IC PARRS s:R.
