GAMMON Approved and signed by me O-P-Z� '? 19_nw� ORDINANCE NO. 589 -7-75_ AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $35,000.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY RE- FERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR VARIOUS PARK DEPARTMENT PROGRAMS, TO BE AD- MINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC PARKS WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Department of Public Parks to administer certain Park Department Programs and to insure the Department's ability to properly perform its functions during the year of 1975. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend as follows: SECTION I. That the sum of $35,000.00 is hereby appropriated for the year of 1975 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as the General Revenue Sharing Fund. This appropriation is to be administered by the Department of Public Parks and will be distributed as set forth below: Program FA 88 Motor Equipment Account Properties 722.0 Description Amount Motor Equipment $35,000.00 Total Motor Equipment $35,000.00 Total FA 88 35000.00 SECTION II. The present front end loader, owned by the Park.Department,.is a 1969 and has.been used almost daily for.the' last six years.. The present loader could require major costly repairs in the near future, thus, I feel it would be-feasible-because of.the age of the machine to.purchase a new.loader. I consider a front end loader one of the most valuable pieces of equipment that the`.Park.Department owns and as.stated` previously this piece.of equipment is used almost daily in the many different tasks performed by the Park Department.
