ORDINANCE NO. 5-,T,73-95-
AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $9,550.00
BETWEEN VARIOUS ACCOUNTS IN THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed
since the adoption of the existing budget for the Cumulative Capital
Improvement Fund, so that it is now necessary to appropriate more
money than was appropriated in the original budget for the various
functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary conditions;
and
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed for certain accounts
within the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund to assure that departments
ability to properly perform its functions; and
WHEREAS, a surplus exists in various accounts of the
Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund, which are not presently needed:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That the sum of $9,550.00 be transferred between
various accounts as set forth below:
Reduce the following account:

260.0 Other Contractuals $9,550.00
Increase the following accounts:
Account No. Description Amount
730.0 Land $9,550.00
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and its approval by the
Mayor.

There will be presented for your consideration on September 8, 1975,
for 1st reading, an ordinance transferring the sum of $9,550.00 from
account 260.0 Contractual Services to account 730.0 Land, of the
Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund.
When this is accomplished, we will be in a position to close the file
on the new Fire Station #4 by paying off the purchase price of the
property. This is a debt owed to Redevelopment. HUD is applying
pressure on them to get this transaction completed.
