AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE
BUREAU OF WATER OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
AND GATES CHEVROLET CORPORATION, OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN MOTOR VEHICLES
IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $8,725.00
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I. That the contract entered into between the Bureau of Water of
South Bend, Indiana, and Gates Chevrolet Corporation, of South Bend, Indiana
on the 3rd day of March, 1975 for the purchase of certain motor vehicles as
required in the operation of said Bureau of Water in a total quantity and a
total cost not to exceed the quantity and cost itemized for each classification
hereafter listed in the total amount of $8,725.00, is hereby approved and
confirmed:
3 - 1975 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu 4 dr. Sedans $8,725.00
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and approval by the Mayor.

SUBJECT Ordinance for the Purchase of Motor Vehicles
The Bureau of Water is presenting an Ordinance to the Common
Council which will approve one contract for the purchase of motor
vehicles.
Bids
were let pursuant
to the statutes of the State
of Indiana
and were found
competitive. The
contract was awarded to Gates
Chevrolet
Corporation of South Bend, Indiana, by the Board of Water Works Commissioners
on the 3rd day of March, 1975, as being the lowest and best bid. Total
net amount of this purchase is $8,725.00.
