Blackthorn Owner's Association Board of Directors Appointment
The Blackthorn Owner's Association's by -laws call for a three member Board of
Directors, to be appointed by the Redevelopment Commission.
At the annual Owner's Association meeting this past October, the Board of Directors
nominated William Panzica to be reappointed to another three year term. Mr. Panzica's
current term expires the end of this year.
Staff requests approval of Resolution No. 3184, to allow the appointment of William
Panzica to the Blackthorn Owner's Association Board of Directors.

RESOLUTION NO. 3184
A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE
BLACKTHORN OWNERS' ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission (the "Commission ") is the
governing body of the City of South Bend Department of Redevelopment (the "Department ")
and exists and operates under the provisions of I.C. 36 -7 -14, commonly known as the
"Redevelopment of Cities and Towns Act of 1953 ", as amended from time to time; and
WHEREAS, the By -Laws of the Owners' Association at Blackthorn provide that a
Board of Directors consisting of three (3) Members shall be appointed by the Commission; and
WHEREAS, due to the expiration of the current tern of William Panzica, the
Commission desires to re- appoint William Panzica to a further term on the Board of Directors of
the Owners' Association at Blackthorn;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the South Bend Redevelopment
Commission as follows:
I. The Commission hereby appoints William Panzica serve on the Board of
Directors of the Owners' Association at Blackthorn, until a successor is duly appointed and
qualified.
2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect after its adoption by the
Commission.
Adopted at a meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission held on November
14, 2013, at 1308 County -City Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana
46601.
