AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $44,000.00 FROM
THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY
REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR
VARIOUS PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAMS, TO BE ADMIN-
ISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH
ITS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY,
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Department of
Public Safety to administer certain public safety programs and to
insure the department's ability to properly perform its functions
during the year 1975.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of
the City of South Bend as follows:
SECTION I. The sum of $44,000.00 is hereby appropriated
for the year 1975 rom the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly
known as the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appropriation
is to be administered by the Department of Public Safety and will
be distributed as set forth below:

"REPAIR OF SNORKEL"

SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect froman —after its passage by the Common Council, approval
by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for
emergency appropriation.

to pay for repairs to the Fire Department snorkel truck. As you know,
this truck is out of service as a result of an accident earlier this
year.
